Our 1st week of the Farmer's Market Project
Square Foot Garden
We started our Farmer's Market Project on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 with a wonderful group of 5th grade students. The students will be responsible for: sowing seeds, transplanting veggies, maintaining their square foot garden, learning all about organic gardening, learning how to budget for their "business," advertising, marketing, customer service, selling and investing their proceeds back into the project. We will most likely have fresh, organic produce to sell at our school in January or February 2013.
